Freshly minted JCW owners...

I just realized how the posting volume of new JCW owners dropped off significantly after our cars were delivered...wonder why that is? Haha.

2010 M3 sedan. I really like the JCW better. The problem with the M3 is it's TOO good. It's no fun unless you're beating the **** out of it.

The exhaust is a little bit louder but other than that it's just like when I picked her up in October. Other than that, no isssues to report and still seeing high 20 to low 30 mpg Even with my commute speeds averaging 80-110 MPH. And that's on winter tires.

I figured that would be true of the M3 (and probably the 1M also) on public roads, but it must a fun track car if you are into that.

I'm only getting 23-24MPG around town but I am not exactly ***** footing around. Highway jumps to 33MPG. Hoping it improves as the engine wears in but it's still not bad... just under 2500km now. One thing I notice is if you are highway cruising for a bit, then go back into town/slow speed, there is a very good chance of getting a huge exhaust pop in 2-3 gear shift or 3-2. Can't seem to replicate such a loud pop any other time yet.

Edit: LOL I guess I can't use the word p***y. Wasn't trying to be vulgar or anything ;-)

My exhaust loosened up a LOT after about 150km of driving making all kinds of noises. After about 500km the blow-off valve was noticeable - not sure but maybe I was just using more throttle. Now that break-in is done, I get a really aggressive growl when accelerating harder that wasn't present before.

One thing I noticed is that the engine didn't really "loosen" up like my first car, a 2000 Ford Focus - the JCW was already decent right from delivery. Same thing with my justa Cooper. Maybe different engine tolerances, but the Focus loosened up a lot after break-in.

Picked mine up on the 2nd and loving every minute of it. The looks and thumbs up i get everywhere are hilarious.

Coming from a STi i was afraid i would miss the power, but the smaller size and increase over my 07s makes for an amazing driving experiance.

i love everything...the power, the brakes, the color, the ride...love-it. I may spring for the JCW suspension early next year, but not 100% sure yet...still waiting for some snow to land to see if the slightly lower stance is gonna be a problem.

Edit: about 700miles so far.

Fresh new JCW Coupe here. One month old and 2500 miles so far. Best thing about it is the sound it makes.

The JCW Coupes are going to be pretty rare.
