R60 Ride-home review
Ride-home review
I just picked up my "new" CM All4...a new-to-me 2011 Oxford Green automatic with Polar Beige, Premium, Cold-Weather, Mini Connected with Navigation, and Sport. It was sold new on March 31 this year.
I had test-driven one other used 2011 and a new 2012, but those were classic dealership test-drives: three miles around the neighborhood with a one-exit highway dash.
My drive home today, however, was about 130 miles.

My drive home today, however, was about 130 miles.
- I was surprisingly quite comfortable with the Goodyear RS-A runflats (on 18" wheels), although there can be some horrendous whining on grooved concrete road surfaces.
- I did note what felt like a momentary loss-of-contact with the road when unweighting a bit over rough sections.
- That wind noise really is a bit extreme. I was surprised by how fatiguing it can be after a while.
- I had no time with the owner's manual, but I found the navigation very intuitive, as was the radio. Unfortunately, the map didn't show my subdivision, which is seven years old now!
- I thought the seats were very comfortable, although it may take a bit of getting used to the headrest which wants to push my head a little further forward than I'm used to.
- I was a little frustrated with the 3pm sun shining through the driver's window and past the visor into my eyes. Then I just raised the seat height a bit, and voila, problem solved!
- I was very happy with the lack of squeaks and rattles on my 7600-mile vehicle.
- When I arrived home, both my 17-year old daughter and my wife said that they love the "bulldog" look!
- Overall, I'm very pleased.
