Towing?

I've been looking at the CM, which I really like.I have 2 questions: I have a Piaggio MP3 scooter that weighs about 550 lbs. Would the CM be able to tow it on a small trailer?
And someone mentioned a booster cushion that goes across the rail between the back seats made by a 3rd party as an alternative to the bench seat(for my dog, in case I want to buy a car in stock instead of waiting for an order). Anyone know anything about either of these?

You might be okay. But maybe not for warranty purposes.

Thank you, now I know it can be done. I was concerned about the warranty and whether the CM was officially rated for towing a certain weight w/o damage. Tn
He MA couldn't tell me anything, which didn't seem promising. Good to know someone makes a hitch. Great link, thanks again.

According to my handbook CM has a maximum towing weight of 500kg unbraked and 800kg braked, more than enough to tow you scooter on a light trailer.

In Europe there is even a factory fit towbar option, it's detachable, no nasty holes in your bumper with factory fit electrics.

Anyone know if this is the same on this side of the big puddle?
Thanks, KiwiRob.

Search the forum for "towing". You will find lots of good information and other hitch choices.
