Discounts on New 2012's?

Possibly I missed another thread on this topic, but the most recent thread seemed to only discuss discounts on 2011's.

So for 2012's, is anyone having any luck getting any discounts off MSRP?

Apparently there is a COSTCO $1500 over invoice discount - but that's all I'm aware of.

Denver area is only $500- not much competition between dealers. But I am going to fight to get my Motor-tober $750 when it gets delivered next week!

I got $1,150 off MSRP plus the Motor-tober $750 discount, but I'm in gthe LA area and there are nine dealers here within 60 miles. Competition is a wonderful thing!

Just ordered my 2012 in Denver, got $1250 off MSRP ($500 new car order discount plus $750 Motor-tober discount). I was offered this on either the Hardtop or the new Coupe, decided to go with the Hardtop.

Good luck!

I ended up with 500 off and another extra 500 allowance on my trade. I know its just numbers on paper and I was hoping for more, but every little bit helps!
I guess your more likely to get money off something on the lot, but when you order one its pretty much a set price you are going to pay

Just numbers on paper? They're numbers on paper that prevent your paper from becoming their numbers!

Well put and good point! What I meant was the final numbers usually end up the same with a trade in, the game most dealers pay offering you 4 grand more than your car is worth, then tacking it on the new car your buying.
Honestly, the MINI buying experience has been like no other so far, easy,no pressure, and I got to pick exactly what I wanted without having "Packages" with items I didnt want forced upon me.

Got $750 for having first MINI in for repairs while purchasing 2nd. I was still talking to the Service Rep and the wife was sitting in a 'vert discussing options.
I didn't stand a chance.
