PHOTOSHOP help for black rims! help! (:

Hi would someone be kind enough to help me with this request please?! i would like to see how my rims would look in black! i have r109's on my chilli red cooper s and i'm thinking of spraying them black! saw a couple of glossy black rims, but i was thinking of doing smth more special!

here is a photo of my car, the rims are two piece and im wondering how the rims would look if the inner rim was matte black /satin black and the outer lip was done in glossy black. i'm going down to my tyre shop to check if it can be done today! but would still like to know how it looks before i actually proceed,

i am horrible at photoshop! here is my very sad attempt.

someone pls help! (:

I'd say stay mono chrome unless you're leaving the barrels silver. don't mix black and matte black.

There are certainly lighter wheels out there, but it's hard to get "cheaper" than repainting the wheels you already have!

Ya I looked at the pictures wrong. I though he was going from a different silver wheel to a black wheel. If you are painting your wheels I would suggest powder coating because it lasts longer and puts up with a lot of abuse that regular paint won't

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Leave them alone!!!!! I totally dig the way your car looks now. Leave those rims silver. I've seen some guy around town, here in Houston, that painted those black and they just don't look as good. Just my two cents. If you want black wheels, save up and drop a little $$$ on a different set of wheels. And did I say, nice looking ride you got there.

But, if you insist on painting them, please make sure you don't paint over the bolt heads around the edge of the spokes. Those are true multi-piece wheels, show them off properly.

thanks! hahaa.

anyway i went to my workshop and apparently nobody down here in Singapore does powder coating for rims! and my outer rim lip is chrome(?) i think. so he said he cant spray that outer bit or it will chip in no time! i've been gg to him for ages so i'd trust him!

in that case i might actually just get the middle piece sprayed a darker anthracite color! thoughts?

Ya OZs are cheap in a light compared to other brands out there. I consider anything under $300 a wheel cheap. But that is just me. Alleggrittas are light and relatively cheap so are Enkei RPF1s are decent plus the offer wider wheels then Alleggrittas.

You must make more money than me

I'll check out the Enkeis, thanks. I see TireRack has Motegi Racing MR125 which come in just 0.2lbs heavier than the OZ and cost about $100 less a wheel. Might be a good compromise. They don't look as good, though.

I forgot about the Motegis. Also Konig makes some light weight wheels for pretty cheap too.
