Question Regarding Adaptive Headlights

Hello,

I have a Countryman with the Xenon Adaptive Headlights. With the steering wheel centered, when I turn it right, I can clearly see the headlights turning and focusing right. When I recenter the wheel, the headlights turn back to the center. However, when I turn the wheel to the left, the headlights do not appear to turn to the left and stay focused in the same position as when the wheel is centered.

Has anyone else noticed this with their Countryman? Are the headlights only supposed to adapt to the right? I have not spoken with my MA yet--just wondering if other owners with adaptive headlights see the same behavior?

Thanks!

It's a good thing for you that making 3 rights is a left!

Just guessing, but maybe since left would bring the lights potentially into on-coming traffic?

I figured it might be something like that but wanted to make sure they weren't busted.

The description of adaptive xenon headlight option operation says left motion is restricted so the lights don't point at oncoming drivers. I noticed the same behavior on mine.

Thanks for the confirmation! Guess I could have read the manual... but it's easier to ask the internet
