I traded my '06 BRG MCs almost 2 years ago (yes, I'm stupid ) and regret it for more reason than one.

Anyway... I'm sure that I'll be back in a MINI within the next 6 months and am debating between a used '05 or '06 MCs or a new Clubman S. I'm hemming and hawing (quite extensively) over the pros and cons of each vehicle and figure that pics would help the decision making process. While I know there's no substitute for looking at them in person, I'm quite limited w/ time, so... where's the picture thread for the R53? Is there one?

I know I could just do a google image search, but (in general) the user/owner pics on NAM are much better.

I don't think there is a dedicated R53 picture thread. Your best bet is to go through the threads dedicated to certain colors especially those that were only on the R53, like Electric Blue (in the US), which is, incidentally, the best color.

You could also check out event threads which usually have a healthy mix of all the models.

Yep, that's pretty much what I did. There's currently a "Laser Blue" for the "new" MINIs that's pretty close to EB, but my heart will always be with BRG, though I'd jump on a Purple Haze R53 as well.

If anyone finds a low mileage (<60k miles) '05 or '06 BRG or Purple Haze w/ these options (I know, needle in a haystack) then please pm me!:

Guess what..... Electric Blue!!!!!!!

 

Blue only has 1/3 of the primary colors spectrum in it.

unlike dark Grey that requires equal amounts of all 3 primaries.

therefore i have scientifically proven dark Grey is a "3 times" better color! therefore 3 times faster in any giving situation!

 

Anyone is welcome to our support meetings as long as they recognize that EB is the best color.
