Interior roof handle is loose?

My girlfriend noticed that the handle up by the back of the door, inside the Mini, that you can grab to heave yourself out of the mini has come loose at one end. Is it possible to make it secure again. I haven't had a close look myself yet. Just wondered if anyone here has had to deal with this? Couldn't find it in the Bentley manual. What do you call it? Assist handle for exiting the Mini? Old people's handle? Interior roof handle?

Posted this by mistake a few minutes ago on modifications / interiors.

Depends on how it came loose. It's just two expanding rivits that mount into the ceiling frame. They are called headliner handles. Most likely you'll need to replace it (probably stripped out the thread in the handle).

Thanks Proximo. I'll have a closer look tomorrow during the day. It's just one end of the handle that is loose, so it's in place cosmetically, just not fully functional.
