I am enjoying my first 3 months 2002 MCS. When I bought this car it had the DSC light and TPS light were on. I took it to a shop that read the codes and told me that it was a steering angle sensor failure. They said the steering wheel was a little off center and that I should get a front end alignment and come back for recoding.
Instead I had them recode it for the steering wheels current possition.
This solved the problem for two months but after taking some corners hard today the lights came back on.
Searching through post tonight I discovered some mentioning a waivy washer used in sensor installation.
I found one of these washers under my feet one near the accell pedal.
Is this a clue to the sensor failure or a poor sensor install.
Some thoughts on what i should do next would be greatly appreciated.
