Best powered Subwoofer solution?
Just bought a JCW GP recently and am loving it! The only thing that would make my drive each day more pleasurable is having more bass!! I'm looking for something simple and powered that would not take up much space. I'm fine with the factory headunit and the front speakers are ok. What is really missing is the bottom end.
So what have others on here tried with success? I'm looking at this sub from crutchfield:

I don't want to put a full sub system as you can tell and prefer just some nice fill in bass.

Let us know how the install goes if you decide to purchase!
I have the Bazooka.. Looks like the Sound Ordinance may take up alittle less room though..
Not sure which one would be the better of the 2 but there has got to be a difference in the sound they will produce by the size of each cabinet/tube.. Sub has to have room to move and push air...

i have the Rockford Fosgate R300-10 its about 10x better then any infinity basslink.
its pushes out a honest 300RMS watts... its pretty awesome especially for the price.. it can be had for about $200 these days. it even fits pretty decent in the hatch.

Ordered the Sound Ordanance sub from Crutchfield and should have it installed by next weekend. Will report back. I'm hoping it will fit under the seat, if not, then right behind the passenger seat footwell since I don't have rear seats in my GP.
I think a single 8" should provide decent fill. I have 2 8" factory subs under the front seats of my M5 and it does very well. So I'm hoping in my little Mini it should work out.

In my opinion, this is the BEST bass for output and sound quality.

Well $600 (sub enclosure alone + JL Sub) is more than I want to spend for the GP right now so I canceled my Crutchfield order and picked up something else. The JL enclosure would look out of place in a car that didn't have rear seats. Plus I it would be un-symmetrical in a sense to have that rear hump. Just spent a lot less and got something that works pretty well in the GP. Went with this instead:

Amp fits inside of hidden floor compartment, wires right to the battery in the floor and sub goes right into the rear boot pan. Secured it down with the cargo netting and it looks I'm just carrying a black low profile box in the back. It hits good, really good. More than enough bass to fill in the GP and then some. All for less than $250! Couldn't have asked for more!!
