Set Bluetooth Pair to Key Fob

Is there a way to have it remember which phone to pair to depending on the fob that is plugged in. I know settings are stored on the fob, but it doesn't seem to remember which phone was paired and just goes to whichever was last paired.

I want it so if I'm driving with my fob it pairs mine and when my gf is driving with her fob it pairs hers...anyone know if this is possible?

There is no way of the FOB knowing which one is paired to the car. You can pair up to 4 phones to the car and which ever one is picked up first by the car is the one that is used.

So to have 'your' phone used with the car make sure the GF's phone is off or that her bluetooth is turned off and it will recognize only yours and then she can turn hers back on.

Then if she is the only one getting in the car it will attach to hers.

Understand?

I know how it works, I was asking if there was a way to attach default pair to the fob, since many other settings already stick with it, I don't understand why that one doesn't.

Becasue bluetooth is a completely different module that is not fully controled by the CCC module where the actual memory is stored for the different FOBS. That is the very specific reason why it does not do what you think it should. and FYI the CCC is part of the radio Head Unit.

Sorry to adjust the subject, but since we're talking about phones pairing up with a MINI, does anyone know exactly where the mic is in the MINI? I've never figured out what to talk at when someone can't hear me well. Mine's an '10 MCS if that would matter.

I'll chime in that the best way to control which phone pairs up is to simply turn off bluetooth on the phones you don't want to pair up.

I now return you to your original subject.

As far as I remember reading, it is somewhere near the light toggle switches above the rear-view mirror.

There are about 20 threads on this exact subject and how to move it to make it sound better.

here is the best one and it has pictures and a video right in the first post.

Hey Schatzy, when my phone paired with the mini it loaded all the contacts in my phone to the car but each one of them is followed by "(M) or (H)" etc. Do you know how to remove these designations from the car?

Thanks much Schatzy62. 10 minutes later and the mic is all better.
