anyone out there notice any problems with the weatherstripping on the rear doors letting in dust. i drive about 30 miles of dirt roads daily and by the time i get home there is so much dirt and dust in the door jams that it "poofs" inside every time you close the doors and fills the car with dust. it also gets all over your legs when entering or exiting, or simply loading and unloading the back seat. any help would be greatly appreciated, talked to dealer and they said we are the first to bring it up so there isn't likely to be a factory fix for quite a while.

 

There are slots on the bottom of the doors on a R56, for a rubber seal the factory no longer installs. Do a search on "Lower Door Seals" for the part numbers. These may work for you if can get them to fit.

 

I don't think this is actually a defect. It's not a good idea to double-seal and area like that, because it would trap moisture, virtually guaranteeing premature rust.

 

I've got a feeling the WRC MINIs don't have a problem with this...
