Whining Noise in steering

I have just recently started hearing a whining noise when I turn the steering wheel. When I go to turn either way after that, its like driving my dad's truck before there was power steering. I have a motor mount part that was shipped a couple of months ago when I saw it leaking, could this be the issue of the whining noise?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Happy cruising!

Sounds like you are having steering pump issues. Could be a sign that it may fail. Some people have had pumps fail on them when driving... not a good thing.

My 2002 MCS had a whining steering pump. I got it changed this spring along with the stering pump fan before it let go.
