WTB: Fully restored Mini West Coast

Anyone know of a good dealer or location to search for a fully restored, daily drivable Classic Mini?

I am not wanting to spend a fortune, but I am willing to pay a reasonable amount to get a great car in factory new (or better) condition.

thanks from Canada (but willing to travel)

I would also suggest not looking for one at a dealer, you would end up paying a lot more than the car is worth. Go on Mini Mania's classified ads (as per the link above from Don), Craigslist, Ebay... just got to search around until one you like pops up.

Seriously though, there are quite a few Classic Mini parts distributors on the West Coast. A few come to mind ... although I don't know if they make a business of selling fully restored classic Minis:

Heritage Garage, Costa Mesa, CA
Seven Enterprises, Auburn, CA
Mini Mania, Nevada City, CA

Hope it helps!

I live in Arizona and looked for over 6 months before I found a classic that fit my requirements. I looked in Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, and California. Finally, through the MiniMania CarsForSale page, I located one in Northern L.A. California that was just what I was looking for.

OP: Good luck and let us know what you find!

Of course, a "fortune" and "a reasonable amount" are subjective terms, but if you're really looking for "a great car in factory new (or better) condition", then you're either talking about a "time capsule" car or one that has undergone a total nut-and-bolt restoration. Either way, I think it's going to take a big chunk of change to get the car you want.
