Need advice and answers...Hampton with JCW tuning vs JCW Clubman Package...
Is there in different in performance between ordering a Hampton edition Clubman with the JCW tuning kit vs ordering the JCW Clubman edition?
Not only does the factory JCW have more power than what the tuning kit offers, the factory car has upgraded engine internals, turbo, and clutch. The factory JCW has the big brakes as well. There are trim differences between the S and the JCW, but the Hampton edition pretty much takes care of those. I don't believe the suspension on the factory JCW differs from that on the S, which has been a sore spot for JCW fans - if you want the JCW suspension kit, you'll have to have it added at the VDC or dealer regardless of which model you buy.
For 2012 models, the factory JCW will also include the JCW aero kit - but only on hardtops and convertibles; not on the Clubman.

Since the Hampton Package includes special mirrors, the Chrome Line Exterior is limited to chrome bezels and surrounds in the front and rear bumper, which you'd lose completely if you were to add the aerokit.
Both the Hampton Package and JCW Aerokit can't be ordered together and your dealer can't delete a part included in a package (the chrome line) within the ordering system. Even without this specific conflict, the factory JCW aerokit would probably not be available in Reef Blue (the aerokit is only available in the most popular colors due to supplier/paint limitations)
You'd have to order a Clubman with Hampton Package from the factory and once in the dealer's hands, they can add the JCW aftermarket kit (as opposed to the factory version). So on top of the cost for the kit itself, you'd have to factor in labor and painting costs.

Honestly, have you actually ASKED your dealer?
As noted in the previous threads, to install the JCW aero kit, it would remove most of the chrome pieces that are apart of the Hampton Edition.
Now, could you buy the Hampton and then piece together the JCW aero kit yourself? Yes, that's possible too.
I know this board is here to help and assist, but the ball is in your court to determine YOUR next course of action.
Head to your dealer and see what they are willing and able to do.

Thanks for the reply. I have asked my dealer and they are indeed looking into it. Just thought sometimes a forum may have more known knowledge than a particular salesperson at a dealership.
Also, I know this isn't on the configurator but I wasn't sure whether some dealers may have "pull" for special requests.
