Opinions please!- Wheels

Hi guys... I am finished with performance mods for awhile, and now it's time to look at exterior. I am interested in getting new wheels. I have found what look to be great quality wheels for a GREAT price. $250 per wheel and they looks exactly like BBS RS wheels, which are, well, very expensive. I would like to eventually get some BBS rims though, used of course. I was hoping to get some opinions on how it would look on a Chili Red R56. If I got them, I'd plan on selling my springs and getting coil overs and lowering it like crazy.

My car now:

The wheels I'm looking at:[/URL]

A MINI with some ESM wheels (even though it's BRG with gold.. you still get the idea) :

What do you all think? Yes? No?

8.5 in wide rim will need a 205 or 215 45 17 depending on offset and drop. the lower the drop the narrower the tire.

Not a fan. Reps are bad to begin with but RS reps are the worst because everyone does them and therefore they are the ones everyone can immediately tell are fakes. Plus they aren't even especially cheap reps. If you wait and search the used market you can probably find a real set for $75 or 100 more a wheel.

The size is good but offset would be better at 30 instead of 20.

You are right. The idea was to provide the visual for RedandBlackMiniS being that he said they look exact.

Yea I was just clarifying, because the size in the rear is pretty much as extreme as it gets

Thanks for the input... I went on ebay to find some BBS RS and they were surprisingly (slightly) cheap when used. This would be a long term project with new wheels, tires, and coil overs, so it's not going to be on the car overnight. If I ever end up doing it I'll let you all know.

But I would love to see more MINIs with the BBS rims to get a look at what it'd look like. So keep those comin'!

ESM is very big in the E30 world, great wheels. So what if they are reps? ESMs wheels are a very high quality in themselves and I would gladly run their wheel. but probably not for a grand.. I can get a set of 16x8 real RS's for that much.

I believe this is what you're looking for. It's a club members car. He's filled and redrilled 5 series rims.
