black leather would be a great combo for any of those colors.

Pepper White with JCW stripes/Satellite Gray lounge leather/Chili Red door and dash ring.

You could also go Eclipse Gray with the same stripes/JCW Black Lounge Leather/Chili Red door and dash ring.

Chili Red/white bonnet stripes/satellite gray lounge leather/chili red door and dash ring

Chili red/black bonnet stripes/black seats/chili red dash and door ring

And that, kids, is "tying it all together". Really, it's ALL about the secondary colors.

I have Spiced Orange with Polar seats and Polar doors. Looks great. The Polar is light, almost white. Thus, in the sun, the interior is very cool. I have had black interior in my Miata, it would bake you like a chicken.

I do not have stripes. The black stripes on the orange does not look good in my opinion.

Go polar/polar.

Bill

Here's the interior of my PW R56 coupe.. black lounge leather, cream colorline trim, anthracite headliner, black/natural dot cocomats. Superb combo!

I can't add the interior pics since you can't save them but you can configure these on your own and check out the interior if you want.
You can only get the red dash/door ring in red and the JCW stripes on a JCW model (you can go aftermarket for the stripes and paint the door/dash ring on your own very easily) but here's the overall look.

Yeah, that pepper white is pretty awesome and if I can bring myself to order leather (or ANOTHER) in a convertible I may go that way. I really like the black lounge leather with the red piping in that configuration. Maybe the gray instead. lol

Exactly my dilemma! lol The black lounge leather with red piping looks AMAZING but I'm not sure I want to deal with it in a convertible. It will be easier to clean with two dogs though. Hmmm...

Its all a preference thing. Get what YOU like and not what the consensus of others is. You'll have no regrets in the long run. Like when I bought my 09 MCS I wanted leather and everyone kept telling me to get the black. Well I liked the redwood better so thats what I got. And now I don't regret it at all. I see black all the time....And I sweat more in my Wifes Volvo w/out leather seats than my Coop......

The only more comfortable option is the cloth. The leatherette doesn't breathe well as it's vinyl, so leather is the next best option. I guess you could go for the partial leather, part cloth seats, but at $1,000 it seems too pricey to me.

I'm not sure if this is for me or not but I agree completely. I pick what I like not what people that aren't paying for it want. My only real concerns are opinions on functionality from other cabrio owners.

Along those lines, the BMW convertibles use a different leather or a coating on it that keeps it cooler than regular leather. Does Mini do this as well?
