Pulley or Intake first?

Alright, I know I ask like 392018309218 questions, but I'm no expert and I'd rather not blow up my car lol. Anyways, I finally got some money to put into it and I was wondering if putting on a reduction pulley should come after an aftermarket intake, or would it make a difference? Personally, I would think I should have the intake done first mainly for reliability, but I'm not sure. Also, what size pulley should I get? I was thinking 17% (daily driver but I like to give it some gas). Thanks!

Also, I'd be going with the WMW Pulley Kit

My ALTA 15% pulley and 2% crank pulley for my R53 are in the mail right now. I did a good (obsessive) amount of researching and question asking before making the purchase. I am waiting to get those parts in than ordering the ALTA CAI but im not sure how the order of putting in the parta will effect the result. Once i have the extra power i guess the CAI will be a nice touch. hope that helps

Does not matter....
Comes down to personal preferance....
Cai is mostly about sound, and a bit of hp....
Pulley is about hp....
They do work well togeather.....just depends on your goal....

Pulley can give more bang/buck (but that depends if/how much you pay for install.)
I went CAI first, but that's only because it was available at an attractive price (aka free.)
Pulley will suck more air. With a CAI it will suck more more air.

Go with the Pulley Package first. Best bang for your buck and very safe. You can add more things later when you like, but start with the pulley.

Definitely pulley pkg...assuming power is more important than sound. Good idea to get colder plugs too. I got great results with the Alta pkg plus Brisk plugs. If you order from Alta, make sure you get the 535 belt as the 539 will slip. With only the Alta pulley pkg, plugs, and a Dinan CAI, I got 174hp to the wheels before tuning.

get a 15% pulley especially if you live in a hot climate
then get a custom tune

don't waste your money on a CAI at this point........
