I'm so happy, I think I'm going to cry. I pick him up in 2 1/2 agonizingly long weeks.
Cheers,
Dan

Welcome to the NE Ohio Mini cult then, Dan! 2 1/2 weeks? Why so long?
Did Jules tell you about the Mini club in the area, or are you from out of town and getting it shipped in? If you're local, PM me if you'd like to join the club.

Pepe is a DS/B MCS. Black bonnet stripes, black leatherette, anthracite, performance tires.
Cold weather, sport, and premium packages.
Rear fog lights, rain sensor, and auto dimming mirror.
On my desk here is MiniRolls's Give Me A Brake brake light mod kit.
Got Pirelli SnowSport 240 runflat snow tires from Alex @ Tire Rack, had them shipped directly to Classic Mini for mounting. I'll need them for the drive back home to Montana. I'll ship the performance tires back home separately.
Classic is throwing in free black floor mats. I'm also getting the boot mat and the boot mat extender (thanks Chief Charlie!).
I'm flying into the Cleveland/Columbus, Ohio area a couple days in advance, and I plan to spend quality time at Auto Zone, Walmart, etc stocking up on Stoners Invisible Glass, Simple Green, microfiber towels, Fix-A-Flat, and as many other goodies as I can stuff into Pepe.
My current car, a 1988 Ford Festiva, needs to be bump or push started every day with the weather we've been having here in Montana. There's been several days of sub-zero weather, and my good ol' Festiva just won't start. I live on a hill, so I bump start in the morning. At night, my wife's car pushes mine up to speed so I can bump start it.
When the weather warms up back above, oh, 15 degrees, I'll be able to start on mine own again.
Yet another reason to count the hours until I adopt Pepe.
Cheers,
Dan

Thanks for the warm welcome, Sarcux and Buz!
> 2 1/2 weeks? Why so long?
I have to fly in from Montana. The wait was too long to bear with the mountain states dealers. The good news is that I'll take care of the break-in period on the way home!
Also, my brother-in-law, who lives next door (we do that in Montana
), has his new Mini arriving at Classic in about 10 days. I have to wait for his to show up. Then we both fly out together and drive home together.
Fly together, drive together. Mini boys for life. (bad pun from Bad Boyz II)
I have my eye on the 19% pulley from Eric @ Helix, rear sway bar, driving school, and the Silver State Classic race out in Nevada this spring, but first I'll do the brake light mod and get a roof rack for the snowboard.
Woohoo!

Congrats on your new baby, "Pepe," Dan!! He's a looker! As one who took a 10,000-mile Roadtrip when Wanda was a week old, may I make a suggestion? Pick up a pair of Motorola Walkabouts, along with the handy recharger, so that you and your bro-in-law can chat on the radios as you motor on back to Montana! Now the longest wait begins....until you can slip behind the wheel and get the infamous silly grin on your face! Be prepared for an achy face, tee hee!

Thanks everyone for the warm congratulations. I truly feel part of the club now.
Question: last night I realized that my black bonnet stripes have white pinstripes on the edges. You can see them in the pictures.
I would have sworn that black bonnet stripes that I've seen before were completely black, without the thin white stripes on the edges.
What's the story?

All S stripes have a contrasting rule -- white bonnet stripes have a black pinstripe line and vice-versa. Only the Cooper bonnet stripes are "pinstripe-less" (although now you can get a bonnet stripe like the S for the Cooper too).
