They always say it'll happen within 5 miles of your house - so I got about a BLOCK on my way to work this A.M, and WHAMM! Some 17-year old pulls out from the curb RIGHT INTO MY CAR! Sigh! Poor Brooksie, almost 40,000 without anything serious, and now the passenger side is stove in. Right on the door seam, too - the worst part to prang! AAAARRGH! Vegas is only two weeks away, too. I have no illusions about the whole process to come. This will really suck. At least she's still driveable, but I had to see the sawbones - neck hurts, so now I'll be on lovely muscle-relaxants. I'm bummed.

Thanks, Guys! Brooksie & I'll live, I suppose, and time will wound all heels - altho, it's hard to say how the coppers will treat it. I'm not yet in a retributive mood, andd things will look better tomorrow, I'm sure! Wow, those meds work fast, huh! HeHe!

Well, Rob, your outlook on this is certainly better than mine. I don't think I would have been able to stop myself from bludgeoning the little brat with some part of my MCS. No one is a match for my towing eyelet, so capably wielded!

Actually it was a bit of near thing! If he'd come off as an Adam Henry, I would've gotten medieval on 'im. He was so stunned & sorry lookin', I cut him some slack. We'll see how that pans out.

Yet another wreck caused by a kid? Seems its either kids or uninsured motorists these days, at least among the people I know. What's the deal??? (possible addition to the "Do people have no brains?" thread.)

Glad you're okay.....so sorry about Brooksie.

Oh Rob, what a horrible thing to hear about! What a horrible thing to go through! I'm glad you're both relatively okay and fixable.

If you need a body shop, I have a TERRIFIC one in Santee. In fact, Peanut's going in first thing tomorrow morning to fix up the job on the rear bumper that a certain dealer botched. These guys did the front bumper and its flawless! They are now the only ones I trust her to... shoot me an email if you want the info.

And take care of yourself! Are you still going to Vegas? I hope so!

Jenn

PS I've got a present for you - ever hear of Luther Wright and the Wrongs?

So sorry to hear about this Rob,
I hope you can get a decent repair and all will be as good as new for "Brooksie"
Make sure when you pick up your baby you check out the color of the repaired area in direct sunlight.
I hope you are all well very soon.

Sometimes, there's nothing you could do to avoid such a thing.
Sorry to hear of your bruised Brooksie.

The rest of us will be lucky to make it through the crumple
season unscathed. We will have to do what we can.

God speed.

Let me take the approach that my mother would use to make me feel better:

IT COULD BE WORSE!

...and then she'd proceed to pour me a glass of tap water. TAP WATER! I only drink water that I can buy at the grocery store. And it's laced with hops.
