Canadian Countryman Owners - DRL Question

When the light switch is off, are your tail lights illuminated? Ours has the full light system on when the switch is in the off position, but doesn't illuminate the dash lights. Is this normal?

It is normal for the Cooper, so probably also normal for the Countryman. (i.e. light switch off, DRL on, rear lights on, fender lights on).

The light switch on the Canadian MINIs doesn't really do much other than turn on the interior lights, turn on parking lights (never read that part in the manual), and/or enable the follow-me home feature.

I always leave my light switch in the ON position at all times.
