Picked up Car Yesterday

Everything went very smoothly with the hand over. My MA was a bit rushed so I did not spend much time with him. Did not have the Nav code until this morning, Entered myself and it accepted after 6 attempts. From reading here this what I expected. Activated Sirius very easily also.

Some first impressions. Forgot how good the car is. Tight and really fun to drive, can't wait for 1200miles to come round. Tried the connected app and worked great, posted some tweats and facebook messages. Was even read facebook messages. Tornado touched down in Springfield mass a few miles from me. Facebook was popping messages left right and center. Really cool feature. Music from iphone played seamlessly, even tried a music video. I fully expected the lips to be out of sync like others have said but it was flawless and an excellent image.

I am using the crappy iphone accessory and although not nice does seem to work. Put it as close the park brake as Icould and then turned it through 90 degrees (sideways). The connected screen has a lots of options alomg with face book, a few google things and Minimalisum thingy. Not sure what that is but it is in the list. Will take a photo of all the options when I get a chance.

As you can see I went cosmic blue. Great color, sometimes it looks jet black other times a nice royal blue color. Did not expect that. Car drives great, kids love the back seats. So far so good.

Oh yeah I have the rear bike rack, have to try and put that on. it looks very good and solid. Seen the video for installing, looks easy. I guess I will find out...

big so far...

Your car blows up.....

Ummm... you break in your engine the first 1200 miles. You shouldn't rev over 4500rpms and drive over I think 100mph? Someone help me here.

Keeping it under 4500rpms is the fun part.

Hilarious.
Thank you for the answer. So that's when you guys take the car to a track, I guess. I don't think I'll be going over 100mph, but this is good to know, just in case I start enjoying myself too much, I'll remember to stay under 100.

Its all the in the cars owners manual. Plus your MA "should" tell you this when you pick your new baby up.

No, that's when you can do a proper merge onto a freeway... in addition to track.

It's also when (if you have an automatic) you can go into manual shifting mode without easily blowing out the 4500 limit. That's what I'm really looking forward to, working the paddle shifters...

As for speed, it's under 90. That's harder than it sounds...
