Any Idea where to rent a CM for a weekend

Before I make the plunge, I wanted to know if anyone knew where to rent a CM for a weekend. I want to see how my back handles it. (Mr Lucky wasn't so lucky April 2010 when I was tboned by a 16 year old driving his "daddy's" BMW X3 at 50+ mph. Doc's all concur that it was a miracle that I wasn't paralyzed.

Thanking everyone in advance

The only places I've heard rent Countryman so far are in Southern CA:

Black & White in Beverly Hills
Midway in North Hollywood

There are a couple of threads reporting on extended test drives using rented CM.

Well worth a cheap round trip and short stay to get super informed about you options.

I rented a base CM w/auto trans from Black & White about 6 weeks ago. They also have an S model w/auto trans for rent. I had to reserve about 3 weeks in advance, so best to call.

See if you can get an extended drive from your local dealer?

I was also going to add that you should ask you local dealer if they will rent out a CM for a day.

Maybe the unobvious answer is to just accept your inner Maxi and order one? You know you're going to like it.

Oh. You probably already know that the sport seats have lumbar support, if that helps. I'm "average" at 5'9" and find the sport seats comfortable so far, but will note that: a. The front edge is padded and it took some adjustment to get it OK, and b. The seats bottoms seem a little short front to back. Sometimes feel like I'm not fully seated or supported. Still working on it and getting used to it. I am coming from a BMW sport seat that adjusts every which way you can imagine.

So go with plan B and talk to the dealership. Explain the situation and see what happens.

Good luck and happy motoring!

Great idea, but I will have to wait until I get closer to my order date. My dilemma is that I have test driven the Base with standard seats. They are ok but still some spinal discomfort. I have only sat in the sport seats and it feels great. My wife complains that the sport seats are too hard for her. May sound strange but even though she doesn't drive any longer, she has wanted a MINI but the Hardtop was too small. We haven't been in the marked for a new car until 3 months ago and then when she saw the CM her jaws dropped. Now it's a waiting game between my attorney and the insurance co.

The thicker seats in a Justa certainly help as well the 15" non run flats.

But a CM is a whole 'nother bird being so much bigger and heavier than any other MINI. Making it the best riding MINI in any config. (And the most expensive MINI - Most spec out at $40K)......
