Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you... Miss Coffy!

Picked her up last night! The Lt. Coffee and Black looks better than I remember from one of my test drives, and it drives better than I remember. I'm already loving the handling, the upgraded nav from my 2003 M3 (damn laser on the DVD drive worked only when it felt like it, especially when cold), the bluetooth, and HD radio (surprisingly good). Not liking the run flats... will replace tomorrow. The pictures aren't that great, but the iPhone did the trick nonetheless. During my wait, I was wandering into the Clubman threads, wondering if I should have gone that way instead. Upon picking her up, I am reminded of why I went with the Countryman. Very pleased so far.

Nice name for your MINI, good combination of Lt. Coffee and black.

What tires are you purchasing to replace those runflats?

Congratulations.

Thanks! A couple of quick observations:

I haven't had much time to learn the system, but so far I am really liking Connected. I had to delete the app and re-install because it wouldn't connect at first, but now that I have it going it seems to be working flawlessly (knocking on my wooden desk). I even got album art and information while playing music off my iPhone through the plugin option. Which leads me to--

The Y cable that came with my CM is the latest model, according to my MA. Now, I haven't tried playing video yet, but I have not run into any problems using it so far. I'll confirm the model number when I get home tonight.

I think I read where some were having problems taking phone calls via Bluetooth while connected to the Y cable, but that has not been my experience so far. In fact, the manual says that certain phones and certain software versions might make this difficult. I will be paying attention on this one, as I would consider it a major drag if phone Bluetooth functions were disabled while using Connected.

Thanks. I had made up my mind to get Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (I had them on my M3 and another NAM member started a thread about his experience with them on the CM), but my tire guy says he wants to show me some less expensive alternatives from Toyo, Yokohama, and Pirelli (I'll laugh if he shows me the same Pirelli run-flats that are on the CM now!).

Thumbs up

Very nice, looks more like Hot Chocolate than Lt Coffee. I just got a new MCCS and am new to all of this. What do you not like about the run flat tires?

They are harsh over any significant bump and the are loud. They also don't seem to perform nearly as well as the all-seasons I've used on previous cars, like the aforementioned Michelins and the Continental Extreme DWS.

Fantastic! Looks just like mine. Except mine is PR and White on top w/ stripes. But we have the same wheels, except mine are anthracite. And I've got the black lounge inside. This waiting in making me loony. The five days from B'more to DC are going to be unbearable.

These are my first set of run-flats and I agree, louder and more bumpy. However, coming over from 19" X5 wheels with sport suspension I'm not noticing any different in rides so I'm still happy with it. I too, will go with the Michelins when the run-flats wear out.

Yeah, other than the inexplicable two-week+ wait on the Bremerhaven dock, the last five days were the toughest. When I got the call yesterday morning, my MA actually had originally scheduled me for Friday, but I pushed him to make it yesterday. I still have the grocery bag holder to be installed, but I definitely did not want to wait two days just for that. If you don't have any accessories to be installed, then the dealer's turnaround, once they get the CM, should be less than a day.

Lovely looking CM, so glad you are enjoying it.

Turnaround at the dealership is different everywhere!

Keep us posted on those tires, I am intrigued at the concept of getting rid of the run flats. My Toyota Sienna had them, but that is a softer ride all around, I will have to wait to decide.

Well, after a month with the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus set in place of the Pirelli run-flats, I wholeheartedly endorse the switch. Everything I had anticipated is there. Better handling, smoother roll resistance, very good in the rain, and much quieter. I sold my run-flats to my tire shop for less than half of what I could have gotten on the open market, but I didn't want the hassle of trying to sell them. By the way, two of the runflats had a small chunk each missing from the interior (!) sidewall, about the size of a quarter and about 1/4" deep. I have no idea how that happened (definitely not from my driving), but my tire guy speculates that it happened as the dealer took delivery somehow. I don't know, but it seems worth mentioning.

I've been following the Connected threads with some interest. I haven't had any issues using the stock Y-cable, so I'm less anxious to get the cradle than I was before picking up Miss Coffy. By the way, she hasn't seen any of her brothers and sisters on the road yet!

I have had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus for three months and completely agree. They are awesome.
