I have yet to hear of a R56 repair manual, but keep us updated! If it is what it claims I'd definitely be interested in getting one

I haven't heard of one either, until now. I'm just hoping it is what they claim. I should have it in couple of days. After I look through it I'll let you know if it looks legit.

If it turns out to be what they claim it is, I would think this would be a good source of information for anyone wanting to service or repair their own car. If it doesn't have step by step instructions on how to perform service tasks, like they claim, it should at the very least be a good reference tool and for $10 how can you go wrong!! I noticed that you have a 2011 model and they say this DVD is for 2007-2008.

Okay boys and girls, I got the DVD today and I must say that it is not real user friendly. I spent a good 1/2 hour just getting it set up on my laptop. After that I tried browsing the menus to get a few examples of how to perform repairs. You really have to do a lot of trial and error searching through the menus to get the hang of how to access all the instructions and you really have to have some mechanical experience to understand it. All in all I think for now until the Bentley manual comes out this will be a big help if I ever have to do any repairs. It is well worth the $10 I paid for it.

I'm looking for an R56 service manual too. Mainly I need the torque specs, for example of all the things I need to tighten when changing brake pads and rotors. Does that DVD include that kind of info?

Thanks!

I'm glad you brought that up. I didn't even check for that info and I don't recall when I browsed through it. I was so caught up with just figuring out how to navigate through it that I didn't check that. When I have a chance I will.

Okay.....I just checked the DVD and it does have all of the torque specifications. In fact I'm getting ready to change out my front brake pads as well so I researched that info and it shows exactly how to do it including the torque specs. I think this is $10 well spent!!
