Vent Not Functioning

My Countryman's vent(outside air) doesn't seem to be working at all. I the button on the dash and it is not lit up green but still no air. From my understanding if I hit the button that closes the vents. Made sure the vents inside the vehicle are open and the still nothing. I can turn on the A/C and air comes right out but when I turn the A/C off there is no outside air. I just picked up my Countryman two days ago, has anyone else every experienced this problem? Thinking there is something blocking the vent.
Thanks

If the controls are like the rest of the MINI line, you have to have the fan turned on at least one notch even for the vent.

My 05 Mini Cooper didn't work that way and I loved that feature. Where as I didn't have turn on anything to get outside air without rolling down the windows.
