Car burbling om start up

The car burbled when I started the car like the engine was about to die. Then I get the yellow engine light on. I turn of the car and turned it back on and now the engine light stays on. WTF?!

I just got the car from the dealership from getting the water pump changed.
Now this. Then I check under the car for any leaks and I see one of the panels just hanging. What kind of service is Mini doing? More towards Universal City of Mini!

I had them check the HPFP last week when they were replacing the water pump and i was told it was fine. We'll see what they have to say.

Your car didn't burble. Us Gen 1 drivers are very proud of our burble butts. The burble is unique to and part of the MINI experience that has been left out of the Gen II unless you pay extra for it and have to flip a switch or something artificial like that to get it.

The burble is controlled by the ECU of the car for both the 1st and 2nd generations. The only difference is the part of code that controls the burble for the 2nd generation was left out. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought they started adding the burble back for the 2011 models.

Sorry guys. I used the incorrect word there. At start up the RPM goes down to about 600 then dies. I took it this AM to the dealer and they replaced the HPFP. Got the car back this PM and is all good now.
Thank you for the warranty..whew!
