Can oe tire pressure monitor be mounted on aftermarket wheel

no they can not. they will explode..

the monitor is not on the wheel at all really. i know it's hard to belive that, but it's ture. it's part of the traction controls and there is one in the front and one in the back on opp. coners. so add your custom wheels and feel safe that your car can still tell if you get a flat. but if your not running run flats then you will more than likely know..

That's right. The sensor doesn't sense pressure but a change in wheel speed compared to the others so aftermarket wheel/tire combinations won't affect your sensor. Mine worked great on a set of new Centerlines when one wheel developed a crack between the beads and dropped 15 psi every 10 miles. Made my 120 mile drive home from the track a real pain in the a**!
