Any NJ/NY interest in the BRP run?
Dorothy and I spend a fair amount of time last night reviewing the map looking for a logical place to try for a intersection where we might be able to meet up. The only one that comes to mind at first overview is for us to take the I195 out to the NJTNPK and then get off on to the PA TNPK and head out to Harrisburg to 81. But I have to tell you that that run is totally heading West the whole time which really kills a lot of time. So right now the only other alternative is for us to take #95 South to Washington and then get on the #495 bypass to #66 and then head due west on #66 to Front Royal which turns out to be a much shorter westerly run than the run from Manchester out to Harrisburg. So for right now we are looking at a Front Royal connection. And from what you tell me that could tie in nicely with other groups that might also be planning on taking the Skyline drive down to Waynesboro. Anyway, we have plenty of time for us to firm up on these items.
Just a note if you are able to get off try to make the hotel reservation asap as they are almost full at this point.
Cheers
Mr. Jim

Hey Ed,
I know, living on the coast down this way really is a pain when you need to go south and don't like taking 95. Like you say, we have time to figure it out.
So it's down to one more day and we"ll be heading down! Ed & Dorothy are heading out from Toms River and Sherry and I are heading out from Aberdeen and we"ll meet up in Fort Royal VA and drive Skyline Drive into Waynseboro!
Hey Stranger!
How've ya been? We missed you and "the boss" at our last GTG. Dorothy and I each had an extra helping of hot buffalo sauce with our burger...I was thinking of you as I poured the hot stuff on!
I just went downstairs and put our camera's on charge getting everything ready for this Thursday. When I saw your posting I told Dorothy that we'll have to bring along our little notebook so I can post daily pictures up on NAN.
Gotta run and plan out my route and then coordinate with Mr. Jim. Catcha all from out on the road.

For those following the escapades of Jim & Sherry and Ed & Dorothy...the following images speak for themselves...

Yeah!...that's Ed
What a beautiful day today turned out to be. We were getting weather reports of rain and possible T-Storms as well, but in the end we had a sunny day and were able to drive the BRP with our windows open.
Here's a rear view of Jim going into a tunnel...

MINIs...MINIs...MINIs...everywhere as far as the eye could see!

Looking good there Ed. Got MINI friends in Virgina doing the Blue Ridge parkway and MINI friends in New Hampshire for MINIs on Top and I am stuck here in South Jersey.
Well better days are coming. Have fun!
