R56 music with iPod Nano
music with iPod Nano
trying to figure a way to play my mp3 files that are located on my iPod Nano. Not that i dont have installled the special ipod jacks that are offered. i think there must be an AUX jack, and even if so how will i connect the Nano? Any ideas?
You definitely can use the AUX jack with a male-male 3mm cord. If you do have the iPod cord already hooked up then it should be all set to go...I use my 1st gen nano which I have permanently in the car. It will show up as CD instead of AUX.
hope this helps

genik,
There is an Audio and NAV section here for just these questions and all of yours have been answer many times over in that section. It would also help us to know what year you car is and what audi0/nav options it may have if you know.
But to get you going.
1. They are available but black ones work as well and do not show up against the interior of the car as easily from outside lookers.
2. ONLY if you have iPod integration fo some kind either int eh secret compartment or a USB jack. And if you have an old 1st gen Nano they will not show up at all.
3. Under the window switches in the center console "if it is installed" OH and this is for a 2nd Gen car, 1st gen are different.

Thanx for the tip on the black wire, you are right, hopefully ill put on some tints so itll be hard to spot
My 1st gen nano displays the artist and song playing via the installed iPod connection. Maybe with updated software it worked....however I couldn't get one of my friends' iPod touch to work. Oh well. Good luck, genik!
