For the past week or so, my car makes a really weird noise under the hood on the passenger side. This happens mostly while driving the car after idling for a long time. I know i have it to take it to the dealer. But unfortunately since its quite far and with the work schedule, I thought I will ask if anybody else had similar issues? Thanks.

 

Impossible to know what a "weird noise" is to you without a little more info, but I'll make a couple of suggestions....

Have you had an oil change lately? If it's been over a year or 7,500 miles, consider it.

Is your oil level full? Please check it....

Have you ever had the chain tensioner replaced? If not, do so....these are the first places I'd go.....

 

+1 more info needed. there are a lot well MILLIONS of possible weird noises that it could be.
