JCW Front Bumper

Really wanted the JCW Body Kit for the Countryman, but because of the pricey side skirts and Metal Hangers around the exhaust in the rear, it seems this will have to be a piece by piece project. Anyways, took the dealership 2 weeks to get this part in as there were none in the country Who knew.. Im actually surprised I got it as the JCW hasn't even been introduced to the US.
Sorry for the horrible pics, cameraphone and late at night as I just got done with the install.. and I was told I wouldnt be able to mod this one

Ground clearance is the same as the low parts of the stock bumper are still used. Id have to call the dealership to get part numbers as they are not on realOEM yet..

I really think the JCW front bumper is great on its own. In my humble opinion,
the full kit is a bit much $$.
If you get the part number that would be fantastic. Do I understand correctly that Mini would not install this item? If you self install, does that violate warranty? Best

MINI has to install the part...if it's an OEM or MINI original part...the dealership could get in trouble...

If you bought it from another dealership...your dealership has to install it...they can't refuse you because you bought it from another place...now charging you a certain amount to install it...is a different question.

51112180736, 51112180737, 51112180738 you need one of each, should total around 200 bucks. I agree, the entire kit is pretty expensive, hence why I just did the front and MAYBE will do the rear later. The Rear came out to 800+ as its got metal hangers that surround the exhaust.

This whole, its going to void your warranty ish is rubbish. Valid, but come on.. what are we talking about here? Installing an OEM part? The dealership wouldnt even give me a quote on installing it because they have never done one and the literature for it isnt available. So if there ever is a problem... which I can hardly think of one that would require me claiming the warranty on the bumper.. I would just tell them I installed it myself as you guys didnt know how.

Installing for a dealership is just labor charges.

Factory defect or possibly claim the dealership did physical damage, when they fixed something else when they removed the bumper.

Call my local dealership.. obviously hes done a work around on getting these earlier than should be sent... he said shipping would only be 30 bucks or so.. even for this size of a box.

I can't believe warranty discussion is going on here. Dealerships can't just void warranties for after market parts (they can tell you they will, but that's BS), they have to prove that the part/modification was the cause, or part of the cause of the warranty claim being made. That being said no mini part would ever void a warranty, as the part is approved by mini already.

Looks great btw.
