Turn around times for special order

For those of you currently waiting for your customized mini, how long is it taking. My dealer said it would be about 8 weeks so I wanted to make sure this is correct.

My MA told me 6-8 weeks, but I got lucky and was able to take over one of their predetermined production spots and I'm looking at closer to 5 weeks if my MINI gets on the right ship (PORGY), 6 weeks if it misses that. So yes, he's correct, probably saying 8 weeks so you're surprised if its faster but not disappointed if its around 8 weeks.

(Also, if you're ordering a JCW, I've heard they only make those once a month so the wait could be longer, I believe the wait is also longer for Countryman)

I ordered my 2011 MCSm on March 17 and got an existing build slot. The car is on the ocean now and due in Baltimore on April 19; add time for VDC, trucking, and accessory installation. I am hoping it's 5 weeks, total, but still up in the air. My 2007 MCSm and 2009 MCCm took 6 weeks. I was told the 2011 would take up to 10 weeks. I think NavyNUKE is correct about the 8-weeks estimate.

I ordered my 2011 on 2/26 and took delivery on 3/31. Just under 5 weeks but I think I got lucky. I'm not complaining by any stretch of the means, but it was much earlier than expected.

I ordered my MCa on the 23rd of February and was told 8-10 weeks to get to WA state. It was ready to be picked up today, April 17th. So that's just under 8 weeks for mine.

Don't forget that the shipping times are different depending on what coast you are near. Shipping to the east coast takes ~8 days while cars headed for west coast dealers have ~22 day trip via the Panama Canal...

I ordered from Mini of San Diego. My car is going to take exactly 8 weeks for delivery.

Ordered Friday, March 4th, and should be ready to pick up by Friday, April 29th.
