which wheels?

I have a red/ black R56 Cooper hatch with 16"s on which i'm changing to 17s this week.
The dilema i have is whether to go for gunmetal, matt black or silver wheels
I'm trying to decide on these 2 sets by Dare, anyone seen any mini pics with them fitted?

I think the silver ones will look great with the chunky spokes but the graphite will look meaner (but is that old hat these days)?

Rota Mc's have my Name written all over them. I am saving my nickles and dimes for a set. 18x8.

Gun Metal definitely meaner. not too bad to clean. Matt black easiest to clean

If brake dust is too much then switch to ceramic pads and that will help

I'm not a big fan of a five star spoke on the Cooper. A mesh wheel like the rota above looks better IMO.

I'm selling a set of 17" bbs replicas because I want my ride comfort back and am going back to 16's... I had that set mounted and balanced with centric rings and tuner bolts, plus tire warranty, for right at $1050, so really you can get any look u want for under $1,000.

The top set there are advan RS or RZ I get them confused. Either way there are up there in the price ranges. I think they are usually around six to seven hundred a wheel. I may be mistaken though. Great wheels though

Well wheels arrived today and fitted them asap, took a couple of pics then took them back off as the discs were rusty so i painted them with black smootrite - much better now

Dare ST- Graphite, 7.5 x 17, 215/40/17 Nankangs

yes it does need lowering but the roads around here are full of speedbumps and potholes :(

You need a drop. It always seems to me 17s are too small for a R56 with the JCW aero kit... maybe it's just me but 18s look better.

Well i was looking at 18"s but heard a lot of them (guess it depends on offset) need lock stops and the ride is too hard with lower profile tyres?
