Feedback on new General G-Max AS-03?

I received a tire rack catalog in the mail and see a new General AS tire, "G-Max AS-03". A bit of internet research tells me these are very new and are a replacement for the discontinued General Exclaim UHP. There are few reviews but the ones I've seen are positive.

Has anyone put these on their MINI yet? My son has been running the General Exclaims on his '08 Justa -- he will soon need new tires and I'd like to go with an AS tire for him. I am currently running Continental ExtremeContact DWS now on my '08 Clubbie S and have been overall very pleased. A little soft on the sidewall, but other than that I'm very happy with them. I was thinking we'd go with the DWS on his car too, but might consider the new Generals. Price is about the same.

I like the Conti DWS and General Exclaims (on my other car).

I think perhaps the new Generals are too new to have reliable feedbck.

The review at tirerack says they were/will be released in april....
So too early to tell I bet!!
If someone ordered them on day one...shipping...mouting...installing....driving.. .about a weeks time...not much of a test drive or review...
My exclaim uhp's have been great....but will need replacement in about a month or two...

They have gotten pretty positive feedback from owners, but the only way to truly know is the take the plunge and see if they work for yourself. And that price.......Go for it! You could always take them back if you're unhappy with them, unless you buy them online and the seller is a jerk.

General has a 45 day customer satisfaction trial on the G-Max AS-03. Let us know if your not happy with them, and we can explain the return process

Any more updates? I'm curious because these look about 5lbs lighter than most other tires in a 225/45/17
