Hey everyone-
First time posting, and it's a question about snow tires. I bought my first Mini about a year and a half ago, and decided one New England winter without snow tires was enough. However, I've got 16" "all season" runflats currently, and was hoping to buy a set of snow tires for my current rims and then next summer get a set of 17" rims with dedicated summer tires. However, is there such a thing as run-flat snow tires? Can those rims support snow tires? Would you have any recommendations on snow tires to get? ('08 cooper S hardtop)

Those rims are 100% compatible with regular tires, or DSST runflats (that come on a mini).
Tire racks lists several runflat snow tires....

 

you may want to speak with Alex at Tirerack before you buy,personally I would ditch the run flats, and get a set of 205 50 16 or 205 55 16 snows, just my opinion.

 

I bought four General Artimax Artic studded tires, size 185 / 60R / 15. I put them on my existing rims and will get new spiffy rims in the spring for my existing tires. Yippee!
