Other Minis (non registered) will appear..
Snooter, your already there, just don't know it....
About 20 to 50 Mini's (non registered) 20 to 100 people will appear, the CNBC crew (not counted), The other Mini dealerships reps, appear but not offically, a pre scout for next year (not counted), last minute guys from the Military bases in NC, about a dozen Special Ops that I'm sure will show up for a day or two (not counted), and the limited budget people, that want to see the Mini's (not counted), the vendor's have a lot of staff are they counted as registered? The WMW, RMW, G4, Helix, etc... (believe not counted)
Can you arrange something, for people who show up, (last minute)
and can registered for free at the Dragon, to be counted as an offical count?
as they are passing thru.
Just a thought...
Just hoping to beat the West coast Vegas gathering record.....
As I believe the MOTD, is one of the first "original" Mini gatherings,
Can a History, origins "story time line" about the Pre-Dragon and each Dragon
be written up, and added to the MOTD site? just a thought,

yup, I realize that lots of folks will show that don't register. And truth be told, I just happy to have over 500 people each year. Anything over that is icing on the cake. There is a "Past Dragon" tab on the website with a summary of the last 5 MOTD. Guess maybe when the dust settles, I can look into adding the first 3 on their as well.
The on-site registration is alot of work. Since registration is open in Janaury, folks have plenty of time to register if they want.

I really want to break the record too but I figure every year has had people that didnt register show up so it would be kind of unfair to count them this year*. I know I have read Dragon history somewhere...maybe on tailofthedragon.com? Or did you mean specific MOTD history?
*I have thought of just registering a few people just to break the record but have, thusfar, resisted the urge to do so.

Question: why do some of the events (e.g. Parson Branch Road Drive) have a participation limit that is a function of the number of people, not cars? It appears that my wife/co-pilot is not on the list although I thought I signed her up. Site claims the run is now 'full.'

Each drive leader set their own limits on their events. In general, folks have found that keeping a group of more than 30 cars can be difficult and use that as a limit while other drives involve a eatery or final destination that can only accomodate so many folks. Woody and Barb are hosting the "Parsons" drive. Since it only involves a stop for snacks and not a sit down meal and since you are registered, I'm sure there will be no objection to your wife riding shot-gun.
