I've been seeing post about the pop and burble. I'm guess that people are refering to the exhaust. One thing I saw is the the 2011 model has it when the sport mode is selected. My 2009 JCW does it all the time. Is this normal for an 09. I bought my car used and everything looks stock but could my car have been modded?

 

My 09 JCW does it all the time. My kids love it. Completely normal and like the S it will do it even more in sport mode.

 

The P&B is new to the S model for 2011 but the JCW has had it. So I would say to the OP it could still be stock and do it.

See the above post. Pre 2011, it was only on the JCW's. Now for 2011 on the S model, you get a little in normal mode and it is very noticeable in Sport mode. When I added my MagnaFlow exhaust, it really started talking!
