My MC 2011 Clubman (non S) has only 1200 miles on it.. A week ago, I noticed a ringing noise from the front passenger side of the vehicle. Set up an appointment and took the vehicle in today. Initially it was difficult to reproduce the noise. Luckily for me as I was about to leave, the noise came back on again.

The noise happens only at idle. Goes away or could not be heard when you press the gas pedal or while you are moving. When the AC is on it could not be heard..

The Master Tech at the dealership diagnosed it within 10 seconds as the one coming from the water pump.. They opened the hood and it seemed apparent at that time..

They have given me a loaner now but said they could fix it by tomorrow.

Has any one else experienced it? this early?

Should I worry about any other collateral damage or long term issue.. Please let me know if you need any further information.
