Loudest Blow off Valve sound, which intake?

my girlfriend has a r56 and she really loves the noise of the blow off valve from the turbo. Which intake would make the loudest noise for this? I have the alta for my r53 and i know their intake makes the loudest supercharger whine, but i wasnt sure about the r56. Thanks!

Any of the open intakes will be loud...

The DoS CAI might is a little louder cuz it goes right into the bulkhead/firewall

I think the DoS is a little too expensive at $310, what would be 2nd best?

Lol you can spend $30 and pop a K&N on the end of your MAF...thats what people did before "proper" intakes were available.

I have a DDM street, not sure how much they are...i bought it used eons ago. Can't be that much.

Keep in mind though, the DoS is really the only aftermarket intake that might be better performance-wise than the stock or JCW one.

I just have mine for noise

I bought it because the K&N filter I bought looked stupid sitting there attached to the MAF. It also was not as smooth as the intake I have now. The airflow didn't have enough time to smooth out before passing by the MAF.

Performance wise you will not gain much of anything from ANY intake...except for the DoS (its the only true CAI). The stock and JCW have been proven to work best.

what do you mean "not as smooth"....i could either get a ddm used for a cheaper price or put on the k&n what do you guys think for performance and noise?

Power wise...accelerating was not as smooth. The MAF is extremely sensitive to airflow...

Its actually the BPV not the BOV. The car doesn't have a BOV. If you want more sound any open filter intake will do. I have a K&N drop in filter and it doesn't produce much noise at all. From what I've read the best aftermarket intake for the R56 is the DOS intake. It's expensive for a reason. The other "cold air" intakes have minimal effect on performance if any. THE best intake for the car is your stock intake.

BPV = Bypass Valve, which = diverter valve....recirculates boost, rather than venting it (as a BOV does).

Stick with the stock one, or go with the upgraded stock one that WMW sells, or try the new Alta spring for your stock one. See the theme? Stock.

If it does what they say it does, yes.

Break in period?

I broke mine in by taking it easy for the first 50 mi, then doing repeated 2nd and 3rd gear pulls to the redline....

Put them on.
