I wasn't crazy about the eclipse grey color when I first saw it, but now that I see it in these pictures with those wheels, it looks really good-nice contrast between the body color, and the black roof/pillars and wheels. My stepsister has an '11 with different black rims-definitely not hard to maintain

Right --sometimes spouses aren't too keen in competing for one's love .

Your best bet I think is to let her drive it. Of course, this could result in another MINI in your driveway .

BTW: That color combo looks pretty classy.

I like the wheels. Love the black wheels on mine.
Yes, they are a bit of a pain to keep clean.

Black wheels or any other wheels will get dirty no matter what, but the black ones will hide it better, therefore you won't have to worry about keeping them clean all the time. Car looks really nice though
all you needed was the anthracite headliner to complete the package imo.

Looks very nice. I love the gray/black cars with a solid color added for mirror caps and brake calipers. Like lime green, orange or red, even purple would be cool. Let the wife pick the accent color .

Looks great! Only thing I would have changed is the headliner. Anthracite option would be one of the first things I would have configured in the interior.
