Removing steering wheel trim

Any tips on getting the three trim pieces off the spokes of a three spoke, multifunction wheel? I removed the Torx in the back, but the pieces still seem pretty stuck in place? I assume it's just a matter of prying at this point, but any advice would be great!

Lots of force is all...

Just work them with your fingers. I pushed on one side from the back of the wheel at times, just using the friction of dry skin. Patience and you will move them a bit, and then get them off entirely. It is just a friction fit.

I found that it was much easier to get these off when you have the horn pad/airbag unit off of the wheel. You can then just pry them off with a flathead screwdriver. As MP1.6T mentioned, once the screws are off, it is a simple friction-fit.

unfortunately, you cannot. From what I've heard there is no removing anything from the airbag cover. Many owners have an issue with bending the emblem in the middle of the airbag cover and have been searching for a way to replace it to no avail.

If you are looking to change its color, you can always do a mighty fine tape job OR, you can possibly contact Vinyl Styles about wrapping that little piece in vinyl... I believe I have seen him do it before in red for somebody.

I was afraid of that. I think I'll just mask it. Thanks.
