The performance mods for a car with an Asin six speed automatic would be the same as those for the six speed manual transmission. There are alot threads here about series two MINI performance mods, the search function is your friend.

There have been changes with the 2011 engine, it has some cool new features, you might have to wait a bit for the tinkerers here to come up with those year specific modifications. Most performance mods work with any engine though, so most of the stuff you'll read here will help.

Really depends on your preferences I started small, working my way up. Decided I want to focus on handling first, since I get the most fun out of driving on the twisties. I will think about power later.

The very first thing I did was change to a K&N air filter. It is the same model as the 2010, even though no one seems to have updated their databases yet. And you can get it cheaper online than in an auto parts store. It lets more air through. Makes the BOV sound better, I couldn't even hear it with the stock filter. (which was not true with the '10 MCS, but switching the filter on that made it much louder)

The second thing was to add the one-touch sunroof module. Love it.

Next up is a sway bar, end links, and a torque arm insert. Although you won't need the insert for an automatic. I plan to get these on before MOTD.

After that, I haven't decided yet. It will be my hubby's turn for a mod, so I guess I will have time to decide. There are so many things! I have been pining over just about everything in NM's catalog, but some of it isn't even available for the 2011 yet. Things in my list are heat shield, hi-flow induction kit, Koni FSDs, Mini Do More hitch, ceramic brakes, driving lamps, strut tower brace, short shifter...

(well, actually, I suppose the first thing I did was to add stripes, but that doesn't really count)
