Does anyone have a list of what's involved to do this? I have an 05 r53 and want the right exit exhaust instead of the center exit. Is it just the lower black trim piece with the hole cut out in a different spot? Or would you have to run the entire Cooper bumper cover? Thanks.
Dunno about the differences, but the complete procedure for removal of the bumper cover (PDF file) is found on the 'mini do more' site...you have to do this to install their hitch.
Yeah, I've got that hitch on my r53. Because of it, I opted to get an exhaust with only a passenger-side muffler (Dinan) so I could reach the hitch bolt more easily. I just figured that putting an r50 exhaust/bummer trim would be another option.
Any time. Yeah the issue is that the R53 parts are wider than the R50 ones. So you could technically run them, but it looks a little weird. I'll look for a pic of my friends car with it.
You'll need the black trim pieces from an '02-'04 R50. Those are compatible with R53 bumpers. The R50 trim pieces changed for '05-'06 and those are not compatible.
