My friends won't ride with me!

I have read many posts about the sport suspension and run flat tires. No one seems to describe their ride to be as extremely jarring as mine. I have a 2010 Clubman S with 17"wheels and RFT. Each crack in the pavement and manhole cover is so jarring that you feel as though you are banging the rims of your wheels - not to mention the potholes. I've had the car since June and am just now taking it to dealer - reason being, is that my girlfriend just bought a used 2009 Cooper S (not a Clubman) equipped exactly like mine as I described above and it doesn't BANG over cracks like mine. I read a post once that said maybe the shipping blocks (chocks?) were left in.......does anyone have any insight? I want to be fully informed before I take it to dealer next week - thanks!

I'm not sure about MINI's but dealers would always forget to the remove the shipping blocks from the suspensions of VW. You may be able to look at your shocks and springs and if there's a rubber piece in there, you should be able to remove it yourself.

I remember a thread on here about someone with the shipping blocks in the suspension.. I couldn't believe it! Let us know if that was the issue.

I was thinking shipping blocks as a possibility, too. No need to stick your head in there, just put a camera in there and snap some pictures.

Wow--it looks kinda small in those pictures. Would it normally be visible just sticking your head under the wheel well or would it be under the black or yellow dust covers?
