Picked up my new MCS Tuesday. I had ordered it with the Cosmo mats. When I picked up my car, I noticed it had rubber mats, not carpet. My sales person told me that MINI had recalled all carpet mats. This doesn't sound right to me, but WTF, I already had nice coco mats for my car, but......
interesting! i ordered my mini with carpet mats too and im not happy with them. they dont seem to fit right at all and i keep meaning to call my MA about them as i was too excited on day of delivery to really care......this is probably why mini has recalled them. Ill call on monday and see if i get the same thing.
Nice interior by the way....i wish i had gotten the leather seating instead of the "leatherette". Looks much much richer!
claud,
I had those mats in my '06, they lasted for well over 4 years. What color are the mats you have? Hard for me to identify which colors those are on my screen.

I was wondering how the mat thing was going to work out when I picked up my new '11 MCS. They were of course available for an additional fee. My Coco Mats should be here Monday.

I got mine at cocomats.com. They are made in Fort Mill, SC. I bought some Sisal mats for my BMW and they began coming apart and fading in a year. This time I decided on quality mats. If you go to the website, and don't like the price, call them (800#). I just ordered my trunk mat from them today and my wife saw a $250+ invoice on our email. I called them and the mat is $75.
My mats are #83, gray with light gray dot. They also have sisal mats.
Here's another ringing endorsement for cocomats.com. These are by FAR the highest quality cocomats you can buy - there are others out there, but they're all crap. These are super-high quality with a VERY thick rubber backing that makes them stay in place and also adds to their durability. I have them in both of my rides, been swearing by them for years...
Thanks for posting those pics, KevinC. I'm thinking of ordering the black/blue dots for my '11 but there wasn't a pic on their website.
Here's El Kabong with his.
