finally picked him up on Tuesday, 3/1/11.
The dealer, MINI of Concord, was fantastic. My MA, Michael kept the doors open when we arrived at 6:05pm, and the finance person we dealt with, Andy (over in BMW) was by far the best finance person I have ever, ever dealt with.
Left a really good impression in my mind.
So, it was dark when we left Concord, and rained by the time we got home, so I didn't get any pictures until today.
Here goes:

(yes, he's already filthy - it's been raining a lot)

Yes. So worth it. Just driving at night...ambient lighting shifting colors. Great stereo pumping. Heated seats. Switching lanes in a flash. Taking super tight corners and exit ramps at speed. Oh, man...this car is fun to drive.
Beautiful, congrats! What are your driving impressions so far? I LOVE the second pic...the light really shows off the curves

I was worried that it wouldn't be fast. It is (I'm going to get a ticket any time now).
I was worried that it wouldn't go around corners without falling over. It leans, but not too badly.
I was worried that it would be too big. It's just the right size.
I got Connected and Nav, which I was conflicted about, but I'm really enjoying the integration between my phone and I actually like most of how the Nav works. It is an acquired taste, though - and maddening at times.
Driving back from the dealer, I could barely hear the Nav voice whispering to me - then I read one of the Connected/Nav threads that said something along the lines of "if it's like BMW's Nav, you have to adjust the speaking volume while the Nav voice is speaking" now I'm all set. Nav voice is nice and loud, and music lowers so that I can hear it.
The car is awesome.
