Y cable doesn't lock into my iPhone 3Gs

Hey folks. First time posting and happy to join the club.

I just took delivery of my '11 Clubman S with MINI Connected two days ago. I'm using the Y adaptor that came with the car, but the darned iPhone connector doesn't lock into my 3Gs (with or without a case) and the slightest movement often loses the connection. I don't have any of the problems that people seem to be mostly complaining about (my music streams, my phone charges), so I guess I should be grateful. But it doesn't do much good if the streaming and charging stops each time I hit a bump.

Have other folks had this problem? Are there any solutions? Did I get the wrong adaptor?

I'm having the same problem with the cable. Just got my Countryman two days ago as well.

Hello, I am new here also. Just picked up my 2011 MC and had the same problem with my iPhone 3Gs. A trick that should work is to file down the plastic on the sides of the connector so it goes in all the way and locks.
Best of luck!
Brandon
