Let's see all the Surf Blue CM photos!!! + ColorSheet!

I am still pondering on the exterior color. I never thought I'd be changing my mind this much!!!! It drives me nuts thinking about the colors 24/7

You guys can help me in decision making by showing your Surf Blue CM images!

Thanks!

_for my contribution, I have created a 'color sheet' (1.7mb) (Missing Red and True Blue..) - obviously I am using photos without permission. If you see your photo and do not approve, let me know!

Maybe we could get just one pic of a Surf Blue and just kind of pass it around. If your interested in what the Pure Red looks like, just go to the produce aisle and look under "O"*.

*And I'm not talking Opples.

So, today I picked up my CM. Surf Blue in all of its glory.

Mine is the first Surf Blue sold at Cincinnati Mini. It was getting rave reviews by the staff and other future owners. The picture really doesn't give the Surf Blue color justice. I think the picture looks more true blue, but the actual color has more aqua marine blue to me. I know we all of different opinions and preferences, but I am very glad I chose this color.

Here is a pic that my MA took before I picked it up. I will take a few more and post over the weekend.

I ordered in Surf Blue as well, and agree that the color looks different in photos than it does in person. I see the aqua in the color as well, which is why I fell in love with it on first sight.

Great idea to the OP putting up a series of photos of the colors! If I'm correct, the car to the right of the most recent poster's photo is a True Red. You can only see the front headlight area of it.

The one on the right does appear to be a CM is that fabulous new color Pure Red - a color that Pantone describes as "a fiery, passionate red pulled screaming from Mother Nature's color wheel as a gift to man to inflame and inspire his loins." The other one is one of the standard meh reds that we feel sorry for, but accept as family.

So that was yours I went to take a look at Friday. Very nice car. Who is your MA? I've been working with Whitney. Just waiting to see a Cosmic in person before making a decision.

Looking good!

Hey, Hittlets! Looking good! I think Surf Blue is an awesome color. I like many of Mini's flat, non-metallic colors.

Now... here is a lil twist!

Lil Big, glad you liked it. Everyone I talked to when I picked it up said how great it looked at that it was the first that Mini Cincinnati has sold. I am glad you liked it. I was worried when my MA sent me this picture as I thought it was going to be more Ture Blue, but in person it is really nice. I couldn't be happier. My MA is Eric. I talked to Whitney at the Auto Show and saw her when I picked up me car. She is really nice and seems great. I am sure she is treating you well.

Silvernuke, thanks for mocking up this pic. I considered the stripes but wasn't sure how they would look. The configurator didn't sell me on the idea, but after looking at this picture I may be persuaded to get them. I noticed you put the black spokes on, too. I thought the standard would play off the rest of the car, but what I am finding is that it draws more attention to the wheels that I would like. I like the pic, which gives more of a uniformed look.

Question for you - I've seen a lot of different types of stripes on Minis. I was wondering why you chose this design, or if there would be another that you would also consider?

Thanks again, you are making me continue to help my car look good.

Hittlets. np and thank you for posting your pix. I am still split on choosing colors, and since I can't find Surf Blue CM around the area with black roof, your CM was perfect to see what it would be like! That stripe is there since it comes with sport pkg if you choose to do so. - configuration I am considering.

I think it really makes the CM aggressive. Black roof, black wheels, and stripe.

Let me know if you'd like to see it with any other stripe.

Pix is up

The higher res image is up in the gallery. I got too lazy making it in proper wallpaper size. I will post some up/more later

Surf Blue is an awesome color. Desaturated deep blue with a hint of aqua. It's rad!!!

I ordered a CMS in white with black roof... Unfortunately very common but the best combo with the interior I chose... IMHO

I do like the Oxford green with white roof and silver wheels. Very elegant looking... I feel the combo I chose is more aggressive looking... I depends on your own personal taste...

I also think white tunnel/turbo fan wheels and white roof with any of the darker colors is a unique look. I found that you can still get the white 17" in the S models even though it's not an option on the website configurator...

I thought it would be more like T, for tomato, not tangerine.

Glad to find all the great pic posts of the Surf Blue. I'm new to the site, debating between White/Black Top and Surf Blue/White Top. Some of the pics have almost swayed me to Surf Blue/Black Top. It looks really good, but I think the White Top gives it a more retro look.

Chuck

I got mine this week. Here is a link to my first photo post.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...66-post32.html

I love the color - the light has a lot to do with how it looks and I am not a good enough photographer to get it on camera.

Good luck with your decision.

Thanks Sail,
Great pics and a beautiful car. You've also helped to settle another issue: bonnet stripes or not. They look great on your car. Glad you're enjoying it.
