R50/53 Another New Mini Owner - Finally!
I finally did it after dreaming and thinking about a Mini for a couple of years. Just bought an '03 Mini Cooper S with 11,000 miles. Combos #1, #2 and #3. Beautiful car, love it. Looking forward to meeting up with fellow owners here in the Northeast.

Welcome. Great color, you may ot have know this when you bought it, but it is the fastest color.

I agree, especially the ones with stripes.
The "Cooper S" on the front bumper is a nice touch! Congrats!

I'm a wanna-be Mini owner, but I'm scared by reliability issues that I read about in your message forum: yo-yos, stumbles, brown murkiness in coolant fuel, clicks in steering columns etc. My two teenage sons and myself test drove a 2004 Mini Cooper yesterday, and we fell in love with it. I think that a Mini would transform driving for me from being a chore into a fun experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the Mini driving seat/position was, depsite my long legs, and at how well a Mini would transport dogs and/or kids around town. I'm hesitating because I do need a reliable car!! Do you think that the 2004 version has fixed the Mini's ++ reliability problems? I would be grateful for any advice..........thanking you, Ruth (Vancouver, BC)
(I also posted the same comment in under the bonnet section, because I wasn't sure where's the best location for this question)

Very nice, is that in front of the $100k worth of new sod in Foxboro Stadium??
Looks a lot greener than the sub zero degrees I woke up to this AM in the Northeast.
My IB/B is on order, I sure like that blue!

Go ahead, order your own MINI. Just do it.
I'm replaceing my Jeep Wrangler with a MC, Opt 1, CVT, Sport Seats, Cold pac, 3 spoke, 8 spoke wheels, black leatherette and jet black over jet black.
It will be my daily driver so I'm depending on it being very very dependable. And a ball to drive!
Come on in and join us.

Aqualung:
The pics were taken in Concord, NH back in September by the place I bought it from, they've had it for sale since then. Yeh, it's a lot different now than it was then. But then of course the heated seats are going to feel so much better this time of year.

Congrats, gt6!
Welcome to North American Motoring! You've gotten yourself a real beauty, there. Nice graphic on the bumper, too. Have fun motoring and hanging out in the NAM Clubhouse with us!
